Hello and happy winter to everyone. Being Island people, we prefer the warm weather, but we’re doing our best to stay productive during the cold months. In some very exciting news, we recently spent 8 days in a very warm recording studio in Seattle to complete tracking and mixing for our upcoming full-length record. We holed up with engineer extraordinaire Johnny Sangster and put some hot rock down on beautiful 2 inch tape. The results are 11 new songs to be released under the title “Ernie Chambers v. God” next spring. We are STOKED!
We’re prepping the artwork now and getting ready to send the master reels to JJ Golden for the final touches. Everything will be ready to go this spring and the new record will be released by our friends at The Control Group on vinyl LP, CD and digital for all of your audio needs. The exact release date is TBD, but it looks like it will happen in either late April or May, 2011. We’ll keep you posted on the release date and the touring to follow. We can’t wait!
In the meantime, we wish everyone a happy and peaceful holiday season. Take care of each other and we’ll see you soon!
Love,
Virgin Islands

Dearest Island Compatriots,
The countdown is upon us and the studio is near. We’re heading into a reputable Seattle recording studio with our friend and entrusted producer Johnny Sangster in early November to record what will become Virgin Islands first full-length record. We’re spending the month of October in pre-production, straightening things up a little and messing things up even more. We’ll keep you posted on the sessions and we’ll try to keep you abreast by posting some photos and videos along the way. Look for the brand new record to come out in early spring 2011. It’s gonna be some hot shit.
You’ll have one more chance to see us live before we hunker down in the studio. Come see us here:

Hello islanders,
Thanks for checking out our little website. Everything in Virgin Islands camp is moving along at a nice clip. We recently completed construction on our very own rehearsal space, deep within the woods of West Seattle. This means that we are up to “no holds barred” rocking at every hour of the day. We’re lovingly calling it Super Dong, named after a Vietnamese water taxi service that one Virgin Islander recently spent some time on. The Gypsum board has been secured, sound-proofing installed and the vibe is good. We can’t wait to start woodshedding in our new wood shed.
We’re planning on playing out a little less this summer while we finish writing songs for our upcoming full-length record. With that said, we have a show at The Funhouse in Seattle on May 22nd and we’re performing at the very vital Noise for the Needy Festival on June 11th at the Underground Events Center in Belltown, Seattle. Both shows should be a gas!
The plans to record a 7″ have been temporarily shelved as we’ve turned our focus to writing for our first long player. Our plans are to hit the studio in early fall and we hope to have a new record to show for it shortly after. We’ll keep you posted as the world turns.
Take care and be good to each other. The Island life is alright.
xo,
Virgin Islands
Virgin Islands have decided to record our upcoming 7″ under the influence of cobra wine. This experiment will take place in a controlled environment, most likely a recording studio. We will take photos and videos of the entire affair and we hope to have a serious analysis of the results upon completion. The A side will be entitled “Ernie Chambers v. God” and the B side is yet-to-be determined. Maybe we’ll call it Cobra Wine and see where the inspiration takes us. Look for the single early summer 2010.
